DIRECTOR

MISS STEPHANIE

 

Stephanie entered into the performing arts at the age of nine. Growing up, she worked professionally on-stage at QPAC in numerous productions. Her favourite contract included playing the head orphan in ‘An Inspector Calls’ written by JB Priestley and directed by Stephen Daldry. Stephanie loved performing but her passion lay with teaching.

​

After completing her Bachelor of Education and graduating with honours, Stephanie taught in the education sector as a primary school teacher. During this time, Stephanie also ventured through Europe and Australia. She completed professional development courses and workshops with celebrity choreographers including: Jason Coleman, Mia Michaels, Travis Wall, Matt Lee, Blake John Wood and Matthew Prescott. 

 

Stephanie's teaching career spans over thirteen years including teaching Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Speech & Drama, Musical Theatre, Cheer and Acrobatics. Stephanie has been recognised throughout the industry for her award winning choreography for creating innovative competition routines including both group and solo performances.

Fun facts about Miss Stephanie include she can do a side aerial, her favourite place in the world is Fiji and she has a boat and jet ski licence.

MISS BEC

Miss Bec began dancing and singing at the age of two. She

has a Bachelor of Music specialising in Musical Theatre,

current first aid, CPR and blue card. Miss Bec has performed

in various professional musical theatre productions including

Wicked, The Little Mermaid and Legally Blonde. During the day, Miss Bec works for a talent agency and enjoys booking clients for upcoming performance opportunities. 

​

Miss Bec inspires and supports our students to achieve their goals. She creates a welcoming, fun environment paired with engaging lessons to challenge each child. 

 

Fun facts about Miss Bec is that she has travelled around the US, her favourite disney princess is Cinderella and her favourite colour is orange.

MISS CAITY

Miss Caity is a wonderful choreographer and teacher! She

possesses a strong focus on technique and exam syllabus

and thrives with creating innovative, award winning

choreography. Miss Caity has been dancing for more than

thirteen years. She started her teaching career four years ago,

and has taught a variety of genres and ages specialising in Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical and Contemporary. She has also performed in the senior company of Merge Dance Theatre in 2021.

​

Miss Caity holds her certification in Junior, Senior and Advanced programs in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT). She also holds her CSTD Jazz Dance Teacher’s Certificate, is an Acrobatic Arts - Module 1 certified teacher and has completed her Concussion Management Training. Miss Caity holds her current first aid, CPR and blue card. She is passionate about teaching a range of ages and ability. She aims to inspire each of her students to do their best in all aspects of their dancing life.

​

A few fun facts about Miss Caity is that she has completed a community project in Vietnam, her favourite colour is aqua, and she is studying a dual degree in nursing and midwifery.

MISS SAM

Dr. Sam (known at Achieve as Miss Sam) began dancing at the

age of four and singing at fourteen. She firmly believes in the joy

and value of performing arts. Miss Sam studied at Dance Network

(Sydney) and at the University of Wollongong, obtaining her

teacher’s qualifications (FATD syllabus) in Tap and Jazz.
With over a decade teaching and production experience in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical and Musical Theatre, Miss Sam has a wealth of performance expertise to share. Miss Sam has performed in Sydney, Brisbane, Wollongong and London and has sung in a band, duos and solo.

 

Miss Sam graduated from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Science (Biology),
1st class Honours and also has a PhD in pollination ecology. She has taught science for over a decade, from primary-aged children through to university students. Miss Sam’s daytime profession is as Principal Scientist and Manager of the Queensland Fire and Biodiversity Consortium. Miss Sam also holds her current first aid, CPR and blue card. 

 

Miss Sam is thrilled to join the passionate and highly skilled team at Achieve Performing Arts where she will specialise in Tap and Performance Technique. 

 

Some fun facts about Miss Sam is that she writes and reviews children’s books in her spare time, adores baking and owns over fifty dresses.

MISS CHELSEA

Miss Chelsea thoroughly enjoys working with the next generation of

dancers. She has run dance mentoring programs, teaching and

choreographing for Brisbane schools. She has a strong passion for

teaching Jazz, Contemporary and Lyrical and thrives when

choreographing commercial Jazz routines.

 

At age fifteen, Miss Chelsea began studying at RAW Dance Company, where she completed her Certificate III in Dance, and then Diploma of Musical Theatre. Miss Chelsea is also a qualified Acrobatic Arts - Module 1 Certified Teacher. Miss Chelsea has trained under renowned choreographers such as BJ Rorke, Jack Chambers and Vanessa Friscia. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Communication in Entertainment. Miss Chelsea also holds her current first aid, CPR and blue card.

​

When teaching, Miss Chelsea challenges students to step out of their comfort zones, pushing them to their full potential. 

 

Some fun facts about Miss Chelsea include she can recite the periodic table from memory, she adores cats and her favourite colour is lime green.

ZAYDEN

Zayden has worked professionally in the performing arts industry

since the age of seven. Growing up, he has performed in

professional productions including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,

The King and I, The Jungle Book and Cinderella. He has gained

knowledge and experience whilst working with Queensland

Musical Theatre, Brisbane Arts Theatre and Opera Australia. Zayden has been in numerous television shows on ABC including Grace Beside Me and Harrow. To further this, Zayden has worked in professional fashion shows and commercial photoshoots. 

​

Besides performing, Zayden is a very talented hip hop and acrobatics choreographer. His qualifications include a teaching certificate in Acrobatic Arts - Module 1, a certificate in Community Coaching and Concussion Management as well as current first aid, CPR and a blue card. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in Dance at university. Zayden shows great leadership, determination and enthusiasm in all of his classes. He brings a wealth of knowledge around working professionally in the industry and is a wonderful role model for all of the students at Achieve. 

 

Fun facts about Zayden is that he enjoys rap music, can do a standing back-tuck and is thriving in rugby and boxing outside of dance.

MISS CHARLOTTE

Miss Charlotte has been dancing since the age of four. She has a passion for technique and thrives when supporting students with strong foundations. Her favourite genres of teaching include Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Jazz.

 

Miss Charlotte’s passion for technique and growth within the arts, has resulted in her being awarded various scholarships throughout her training. She has had the opportunity to study ballet with the Australian Ballet and has performed professionally with the Imperial Russian Ballet. Miss Charlotte is currently studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance) and holds her current first aid, CPR and blue card. She also holds her certification in all levels of PBT and has attained her mental health eLearning certification.

 

A few fun facts about Miss Charlotte include she is a black belt in karate, she loves to make her own clothes and her favourite colour is green.
